Cycle Highlands was founded in 2004 by Richard and Liz Watts, growing from a small rental and guiding service into Aberdeenshire’s largest independent cycle store.
Based in Ballater, in the heart of Royal Deeside, we’re surrounded by some of the best riding in the country — from big mountain trails to gravel routes and everything in between.
We specialise in off-road bikes, including mountain, gravel and e-bikes, alongside a strong range of lightweight kids’ bikes. As an official demo centre for leading brands, the shop has become a hub for riders across the region — backed by one of the most experienced workshop teams in Aberdeenshire.
Over 20 years on, Cycle Highlands is still built by a small team of riders who know the bikes, the trails and what actually works.
